The Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort & Spa is nestled on the private island of Bazaruto (just off the coast of Mozambique). The island is part of Bazaruto Archipelago National Park, one of the largest conservation areas in the Indian Ocean.

44 beach, sea view and pool villas make up the resort and all adopt a neutral colour tone to reflect the natural beauty of the surroundings. Each has been built using indigenous materials including reed, soft fringed thatch and wood.

There are four dining options at the resort ranging from international cuisine on the beach deck or poolside, Mediterranean cuisine in the main building and romantic private dining on the beach. The resort also runs its own cooking school, the Spice Spoon, where guests can hone their culinary skills.

Facilities include an adult's only beachfront pool, family pool for the little ones to splash and thrash and the Anantara spa with specialist hydro facilities for ultimate relaxation after a morning full of activities.

Speaking of which, the Bazaruto Marine National Park is a premier snorkelling and dive destination with crystal clear waters, dazzling soft coral and home to thousands of tropical fish. Whale sharks, sharks, the rare dugong and all five types of marine turtles can be spotted in these waters which seldom drop below 26 degrees. Beginners and advance divers alike can embark on unforgettable experiences.
