Dive Palau

Palau

A long way away but worth the trip, Palau is a paradise for divers, and the Palau Pacific is the very best place to stay. It’s not overly luxurious but is the perfect place from which to explore this fabulous part of the world.

PALAU PACIFIC IS IN OUR BOOK, DIVE IN STYLE

If you're looking to stay in a typical five-star hotel, then Palau probably isn't for you. But if you're in search of world-class diving, accessible from comfortable, traditionally appointed accommodation, then you may be in luck. Palau Pacific might not be the swankiest of resorts, but it is by far the best place to stay in Palau. More importantly, it has its very own dive centre on site, so diving couldn't be easier.

The hotel is set in 24 acres of lush, tropical gardens, including an amazing orchid farm. With over 160 rooms it’s not what could be called a boutique resort but it does have atmosphere. Make sure you request the newer wing as it makes all the difference.

Dining is done in one of two restaurants; the open-air Coconut Terrace and the slightly more formal Meduu Ribtal. Both restaurants have a distinct Japanese flavour to them with excellent sushi and sachimi.

Palau offers truly world-class diving, with something for divers and snorkelers at all levels. With over 1,500 species of fish and 700 species of coral, the biodiversity here is truly enormous, and it is all carefully protected by the Koror State Rangers. Blue Corner is Palau's most well-known dive, but there are also plenty of shallow dives, including wrecks suitable for snorkelling.

Situated at the end of Palau Pacific's private beach, Splash is a comprehensive dive centre with an excellent small shop attached. Alternatively you can dive with Neco Marine or Fish ‘N Fins, both of which have an excellent relationship with the hotel.

Don't take our word for it...

Excellent, brilliant and thoroughly enjoyed.

Am completely buried at the moment – just working on getting the e-mails under control! Will definitely give you a call – but in summary – excellent, brilliant and thoroughly enjoyed by both of us!
