Coming back from a dive to have a pristine white sand beach and clear blue seas all to myself in the Andaman Islands. They remain wonderfully undeveloped.
Neill, Original Diver
The charming chaos of India; the serene tranquillity of Bhutan; the Sri Lankan and Nepali phoenixes hopefully rising from the flames and picture perfect Maldivian islands, all in one enduringly fascinating region. Frankly, what's not to like?
Why we think you’ll love it
- Extraordinary diversity of landscapes and cultures in one manageable region.
- The diving around the Andaman Islands is excellent in parts and the destination is wonderfully remote.
- This is a great destination to combine some serious cultural exploration with some time at sea.

Our Guide to Indian Subcontinent Diving Holidays
Original Diving and Original Travel consultants have lived, worked or travelled extensively in all the countries in our Indian Subcontinent portfolio, and can design the perfect plan to fit your travel needs. We revisit all our destinations on a regular basis and only work with the very best properties and guides so you know you'll be in the best hands possible, whichever country you visit. And we can arrange not just the diving but anything you might want on land too.
From a diving perspective, the main hotspot, and somewhere high on any divers hitlist is the Maldives. This is such an important destination for divers that we have a seperate Indian Ocean section! And then there are the remote Andaman Islands which we have recently added to our portfolio. It doesn't get much more undiscovered than this in this day and age.
