One Ocean

A man stands in solitude at the front of a ship, peering over the horizon pensively. Jack? Waiting for Rose? Thankfully this isn't Titanic and the only 'I'm flying' scene was from the marine life (bird-eating fish, anyone?). Sir David Attenborough and his dulcet tones have returned to take us to explore the wonders of the ocean like never before.

Halloween Dive Sites

As shops burst at the seams with Halloween tack, this year we invite you to forget trick or treaters, terrible costumes and questionably carved pumpkins and slip beneath the surface… grab your cavity-inducing treats and read on for the most devilish dive sites around the world.

Having visited Mozambique for the first time 8 years ago, I was very excited be going back to further explore the country's incredible coastline and underwater world. Taking it easy; life on Vamizi

Half-way through reading my degree in Law at Newcastle University, tired and distracted, seriously deficient of Vitamin D and in need of an adventure: I decided to find an exotic destination to spend my summer and remedy my withdrawals from travel. Equipped with my PADI Divemaster qualification, which I had gained during my gap year living in Sharm El Sheikh (and consequently used to fund my lust for travel and diving over my next two 'gap-years' across South East Asia), I set about finding a dive centre/hotel/anywhere that would have me, rather like a game of pin the tail on the donkey.

So it is time for you to plan at keeping those vitamins at the right level. And why not combine this with a little bit, or a lot, of 'winter diving'? At Original Diving, we have selected the best destinations for long haul winter sun:

Top 10 Diving Beaches

Types of Diving: Wall Diving

If you suffer from vertigo then it is probably best to stick to sloping reefs as opposed to drop-offs and walls, with some going down to 600m! But if heights are not an issue for you, wall diving can prove to be some of the most interesting and exciting diving you can do.

Nudibranchs - Facts About The World's Prettiest Slugs

Nudibranchs, sometimes more commonly known as "sea slugs" are some of the hardest creatures to spot on a dive. Although related to snails, these colourful little creatures have ditched the homes they carry on their backs as they have evolved. Similar to land snails, nudibranchs also leave a slime trail, full of chemicals, which can warn other slugs of danger, or be used to find a mate.
