Turtle swimming along the sandy bottom of the Red Sea

Best Moments

  • Driving the scenic Splügen Pass from Switzerland into Italy during a European road trip was an unforgettable experience, with its winding roads and breathtaking Alpine views.
  • Choosing a quiet dive site off a liveaboard in the Red Sea with my dive buddy, which led to a magical close encounter with a green sea turtle away from the crowds.
  • Visiting Triberg Waterfall in the Black Forest was enchanting, especially seeing playful red squirrels as we climbed to the top.
  • Exploring the trails around Positano on the Amalfi Coast was unforgettable, with its dramatic cliffs, stunning Mediterranean views and picturesque hillside scenery.

Toughest Travel Moment

  • Missing the last bus back while exploring Lake Garda in Italy was a bit of a setback. Fortunately, a traditional Italian pizzeria came to the rescue, proving that pizza makes every situation better. I managed to find alternative transport and turn the day around.
Sand dunes in Egypt with the sunset

Weirdest Travel Moment

  • Trying camel steak in Egypt was an unusual experience. I wasn't expecting to taste such an unexpected dish, but it turned out to be surprisingly tender and flavourful, something I never thought I'd try!
