Just a 5-minute drive from the international airport, the Compass Point Beach Resort is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to do some diving, overnighting in Nassau or if you are looking for a fly-and-flop.
Louisa is here to help give you the inside track.
On arrival at the Compass Point Beach Resort, it is difficult to believe that only 5 minutes previously you were bustling around the international airport. A splattering of colour is immediately obvious as each of the huts spread along the coast are painted differently in bright colours. It is a beautiful sight.
The simplicity inside the rooms perfectly complements these colours with all of the 18 rooms decorated with white washed walls and natural wooden flooring. The rooms come in a variety of categories, with our favourite being the elevated sea view huts, just set back from the ocean with staggering views out to the turquoise sea.
The Compass Point Beach Resort pool enjoys brilliant views out to the ocean so that you can sip on cocktails while watching the sun go down or alternatively, there is access to a white sandy beach directly from the resort grounds should you want to spend your days on the beach.
But one of the major draws to this Compass Point Beach Resort is the food - from conch salad to BBQ spare ribs, everything is delicious and immaculately prepared. Celebrities often swing by here to dine so you are definitely in for a treat.
Only a 10 minute drive from the Compass Point Beach Resort takes you to Stuart's Cove Dive Bahamas so you can experience the surrounding waters whilst staying in this slice of paradise.
Why we love it
The Compass Point Beach Resort has huts painted in all different colours of the rainbow, based on the Bahamian carnival 'Junkanoo'.
