Neill and Louisa are here to help give you the inside track.

Expect an experience far removed from the commonly visualised high rise city hotel with fitted carpets, chandeliers and marble floors; expect an escape to nature, where you feel right at home and are able to relax.

Nestled in a beautiful coastal site, the expansive Hotel Ta' Cenc takes its guests back to nature, encouraging them to explore and enjoy their surroundings while still sensing the soothing ambiance that awaits them back at base. The hotel is literally at one with nature, spread over a staggering 1.5 square miles of idyllic countryside very rich in flora and fauna. Ensconced into a bird sanctuary, the hotel boasts its own picturesque rocky beach and medieval palazzo within its grounds.

The Hotel Ta' Cenc is a haven for those keen to discover ecotourism, or to delve into the eclectic and exciting history of this tiny Mediterranean island. Situated on the outskirts of a sleepy village, Hotel Ta' Cenc & Spa lends itself to a holiday brimming with both relaxation and stimulation - from the holistic wellness spa, large swimming pools, enticing eateries, incredible views and friendly service. This is a hotel which stays true to its belief that every guest should leave feeling pampered, relaxed and returned to nature.

The specially designed family rooms at the Hotel Ta' Cenc provide enough space for four people to share together effortlessly. Aside from the main bedroom with a comfortable seating area, a second room houses two single beds. Each family room is tastefully furnished, with an en-suite bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, radio, cable LCD TV, minibar, trouser press, heating, air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. Every room within the hotel also enjoys a private patio or terrace.

Wining and dining is taken seriously at the Hotel Ta' Cenc, and you can enjoy two eateries within the hotel's grounds, as well as a comfortable lounge that offers a fully stocked bar, hot drinks and snacks. Dining al fresco under a 400 year old carob tree at Il Carubo, you will be treated to Italian-inspired cuisine and Gozitan specialities or you could dine from the terrace and enjoy the superb views from Gozo's highest point and enjoy Italian cuisine. Alternatively, the Kantra Beach Club at the water's edge offers less formal surroundings for fresh fish, grilled meats, pastas and other favourites.

A huge variety of amenities are on offer here to keep you all active, from two large outdoor swimming pools, (one exclusively for adults, and one for families with children,) two tennis courts, water sports, an associated diving school, tours of Gozo and Malta and even guided walking or cycling.

Why we love it

Make sure you take a walk down to the private bay (and all around the nature reserve in which the hotel sits). Take the courtesy bus back up though!
