Turneffe Island Resort

Located 35 miles off the coast of Belize on the coral island of Little Caye Bokel, Turneffe Island Resort is the closest resort to the iconic Great Blue Hole and an adventure seekers’ dream.

With 22 guestrooms spread across the 14-acre private island, and a very attentive team of staff on hand, the boutique resort promises intimacy and privacy for guests. Rooms range from deluxe room to villa, and include Honeymoon and Presidential Villas, decked out in warm mahogany and teal interiors. Each of the rooms has unparalleled views of the outstretched Caribbean Sea, just waiting for you to explore - handy, as the dive centre is just a few sandy footsteps away.

Trips out to the Great Blue Hole happen every week, with expert Dive Masters guiding dives down into the eerie depths. Aside from the Great Blue Hole there are some 32 sites in close proximity to the hotel, including the pristine reefs of Half Moon Caye and Elbow. Back on the island, no less than six saltwater flats await keen fly-fishers, with the emphasis on bone fish - generally regarded as the most challenging saltwater fly fishing quarry of all - but also for tarpon, jack and barracuda.

Dining at the resort is an eclectic combination of Belizean and western cuisine throughout - including a BBQ night every Friday.
