The M/V Galapagos Sky liveaboard was designed by a team of naval architects in close collusion with Peter A. Hughes and built by current owner Santiago Dunn in 2000 to meet and exceed all maritime standards. Launched in 2001, the Galapagos Sky features one of the most experienced crew of any Galapagos liveaboard.
This liveaboard is fully air-conditioned and has a dining area, a fully stocked bar and a main salon with an audio/visual entertainment centre. On deck there is space for personal dive gear storage, a photo and video film lab, and open deck space for sunbathing. There is also a large dive platform with fresh water showers, dive deck assistance and dive equipment rental services.
Zodiacs transport guests between the dive sites and the anchored yacht. The Galapagos Sky offers up to four dives per day on a pre-planned yet flexible itinerary.
Besides being a luxury liveaboard visiting the diving legends of Wolf and Darwin Islands on every trip, the M/V Galapagos Sky also prides itself on additional luxury amenities not found on many liveaboards. This is the best boat from which to explore the Galapagos Islands beneath the waves.
Why we love it
The Galapagos Sky liveaboard is one of the only boats regularly given permits for two-week dive trips to Darwin and Wolf. This is a very special trip.
