Designed in line with local Maldivian tradition, the 103 thatched bungalows and villas are either lined across the island's deserted beaches or on stilts over the inviting lagoon. Beach Villas feature a 12-metre lap pool, lush secluded gardens and private beach access. Water Villas, some with pools, allow alfresco living with outdoor showers and spacious decks with nets for over-water relaxing.

Consistently warm waters, superb visibility and plentiful marine life are the norm at Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru. Catering to both experienced and novice divers, dive sites include vibrant thilas, pelagic spotting channels, coral-filled overhangs and captivating wrecks. Guests wishing to visit more remote dive sites can do so on the Four Seasons Explorer.

A plethora of dining options cater to every taste. At Café Landaa, savour the tastes of Asia whilst overlooking a dramatic water feature; feast on the catch of the day at Fuego Grill or dine on fine Italian fare at Blu. Sample authentic Arabian cuisine at overwater restaurant Al Barakat before relaxing at the shisha bar on the water's edge.

Active guests will relish in the resort's water sports, from jetblades and x-jetpacks to kitesurfing and jet skiing. Other facilities include a tennis court, fitness centre and four different pools - including the only Olympic-sized pool in the Maldives. The Yong Adults Centre promises to keep kids pre-occupied whilst adults can de-stress in the Ayurvedic Retreat, featuring its own herb garden and alluring healing aromas.

Why we love it
