Located in the Maldives’ Baa Atoll, on the doorstep of the UNESCO Marine Biosphere Reserve Hanifaru Bay, Anantara Kihavah is an exquisite base from which to explore the Indian Ocean’s best marine life.
Each of the 79 spacious villas contain a private pool and are either dotted along the beach or above the characteristic crystal waters. Those staying in the Over Water Villas can dive straight off the private sundeck into the lagoon or watch turtles swim past from the sunken glass-bottom bathtub. Beach Villas blend seamlessly into the sand, with alfresco bathrooms to take in dramatic sunset views. Each villa comes with the services of a 24 hour butler to make your stay unforgettable.
A hotspot for biodiversity, Hanifaru Bay is an underwater photographer's dream which can be explored through Anantara's onsite dive centre. Guests can also help preserve the marine reserve by sponsoring a coral frame to restore the local reef habitat.
Guests can continue their journey into the lagoon at Sea.Fire.Salt.Sky, a unique quartet of over and underwater restaurants. Underwater restaurant and wine cellar, Sea, serves up international gourmet cuisine paired with wine by the resident Wine Guru. Fire serves Japanese cuisine from a theatrical central cooking station, while Salt serves up fresh fish cooked on a Himalayan salt block. Finally, the rooftop bar, Sky, offers delectable cocktails and magnificent views over Baa Atoll. Private dining can be also indulged upon in guests' villas or on the beach.
The Anantara Spa contains six over water treatment suites with treatments delivered with soothing local oils. Other facilities include tennis and volleyball courts, a gym, kid's club and main swimming pool. Guests can also snorkel, kayak, sail and windsurf, or soar above the Maldives on a seaplane.
