The luxurious island resort of OBLU Nature Helengeli by SENTIDO is a divers’ dream, complete with comfortable rooms, myriad restaurants and a prime Maldivian island location.
Boasting 153 villas, each with spacious and modern rooms, OBLU Helengeli is bigger than your typical Maldives resort. The three 'Beach Suites' are perfect for families, thanks to their private pool and separate twin bedroom for the children. Meanwhile, guests in the 'Deluxe Beach Villas' can enjoy direct beach access and twin sun loungers, perfect for relaxing with a drink at the end of a day of diving. All guests can also enjoy all-inclusive food and drink, from perfectly mixed cocktails at Raa Bandhi Bar to flavourful fare at The Spice restaurant.
The main attraction at the OBLU Helengeli is the diving, which is run from the resort's fantastic dive centre by a team of passionate and experienced guides. Helengeli Island lies in a prime spot in the middle of the main entry channel into the Atoll, meaning there is a huge range of marine life. The hotel's house reef is also in great condition, so guests can snorkel just a few steps from the shore. If you fancy exploring further afield, there are as many as 30 dive sites to choose from, many of which are only 20 minutes from the resort. Experienced divers won't want to miss the famous Bodu Thila, which boasts a high density of sharks only five minutes from the resort.
If you're travelling with non-divers, fear not: there are plenty of other activities to enjoy. The ELE|NA Ayur spa offers a range of rejuvenating treatments, there are several water sports to try, and guided snorkelling trips can easily be arranged. You'll also have the chance to try your hand at traditional line fishing or go on a sunset dhoni (boat) ride - this is relaxation at its finest.
