Louisa and Amy are here to help give you the inside track.

The Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is located in the Malé Atoll, a 30-minute transfer by private speedboat from the international airport. Occupying a private coral island set in a turquoise sea, accommodation consists of 96 palm-thatched beach bungalows and water villas. The beach bungalows, some of which have private plunge pools, are set along a white-sand beach; the water villas are built on stilts over the lagoon and have private sun decks and steps straight down into the warm sea. All rooms are equipped with CD players, wired or wireless internet access, satellite TV and DVD players.

At the heart of the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa is an infinity-edge freshwater swimming pool - one of the largest in the Maldives - with a swim-up pool bar and surrounded by a large sundeck. Other facilities include a state-of-the-art gym, a yoga pavilion and a spa located on its own island and reached by dhoni (traditional Maldivian wooden boat). The spa's treatment pavilions are positioned over the water and have viewing ports in the floor so that guests enjoying a massage can contemplate the aquatic world below.

Activities at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa include a variety of motorized and non-motorized watersports, including kayaking, windsurfing, sailing and waterskiing. The PADI Five-Star IDC dive centre enables you to explore the area's excellent dive sites. Immerse yourself in enormous shoals of butterflyfish and oriental sweetlips; drift the channels with white tips and whale sharks and much more - the marine life is outstanding and there is much to be enjoyed. There is also a surf school with professional surf instructors so you can enjoy easy take-offs and long rides in some of the world's most consistent and warmest swells. The best waves occur all year round for beginners and from April to October for experienced surfers. Excursions to neighbouring islands to snorkel or visit Maldivian villages are also possible with the 16.7-metre (55-foot) luxury sports cruiser, Landaa Summer, which allows you to island-hop in comfort.Beautiful food; you won't go hungry at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa

The Four Seasons Kuda Huraa's three restaurants savour fine Indian cuisine, celebrate the tastes of contemporary Italy or feast on Asian delicacies - all complemented by the cellar of handpicked fine wines. Magnificent natural settings befit the inspiring menus: Relax at a table in the sand, settle into an oceanfront pavilion, swim up to the poolside bar, or perch above the lagoon on a torch-lit terrace.

Lastly, a stay at the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa can be combined with a three, four- or seven-night cruise on the Four Seasons Explorer - a luxury, 11-cabin catamaran that takes guests island-hopping and diving in Four Seasons style.
