Located 40 minutes from Malé, One&Only Reethi Rah is one of the largest, most luxurious islands in the North Male Atoll.
The elegant thatched villas are either dotted along the island shores, secluded by lush greenery, or set above the serene lagoon waters. Expansive rooms feature high ceilings and open verandas, either leading out directly onto a private beach or to wrap around hammocks suspended over water. Additional features include alfresco showers and huge marble baths and in some villas, a private pool.
Diving here is a real treat as the resort is expertly located within a short distance of the 1988 wreck of the Hembadhu, as well as some of the Maldives' best shark sites and the Rasafari Protected Marine area. Guests can also dive with manta rays and turtles against some spectacular reefs and drop-offs.
A staggering six restaurants cater to every taste, from garden-to-fork dining at Botanica to sophisticated Japanese fare over sunset views at Tapasake. Reethi takes on a fusion of Asian, French and Italian flavours whilst Fanditha offers Middle Eastern dishes in the secluded northern tip of the island. Fresh fish and salads are available at the relaxed Beach Club whilst Rabarbaro offers exquisite Italian dishes. Sundowners can also be enjoyed in a boho-chic Arabesque setting at the Fansitha Bar whilst the Rah Bar is the evening's focal point, featuring live music and delicious cocktails.
The resort caters well to kids, with a KidsOnly club for ages 4-9, OneTribe for ages 9-11 and Teens club for ages 12 and up. Additional facilities include three main pools, a Spa featuring Ayurvedic treatments, an artist's studio, two floodlit courts and a climbing wall. There's also a huge array of water sports available. Unforgettable experiences include a "secrets of thila" tour with the resident marine biologist and traditional hand line fishing in a Dhoni. Romantics can also enjoy a sunset champagne cruise on a Dhoni.
