Day 1: International Flight to Manila
Your honeymoon begins today with an overnight flight to Manila, travelling via Bangkok. Your journey takes around 18 hours, so relax and enjoy a few movies or tuck into a book and try to get some sleep as you make your way to the Philippines.
Day 2: Overnight in Manila
You'll arrive at Manila airport at around midday, where your driver will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel. This should give you plenty of time to rest and refresh at your hotel, before venturing out to explore this vibrant city this evening.
Day 3: Arrival at Amanpulo
Today, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred back to the airport in time to catch your flight from Manila to the private island of Pamalican, where you will check into your treetop casita (meaning little house) at Amanpulo.
Pamalican means 'peaceful island,' and once you arrive, it's easy to see why. Exotic birds chirp from the lush vegetation and (arguably) the best beach in the world encircles the island that hosts nothing but your luxurious 40-room resort. With nothing else around, other than turquoise waters and stunning reefs ready for exploration, you'll be able to sink into perfect Philippine paradise in the private deck of your treetop casita.
Days 4-7: Days at Leisure and Adventure
From kite surfing to scuba diving to kayaking, there's no shortage of aquatic adventures to keep you out exploring the stunning seas surrounding your island retreat. The onsite PADI Dive Centre caters to divers of every level, and with most sites within a quick ten-minute boat journey, you'll be able to whisk out for a dive on the resort's custom built dive boat for a dip surrounded by fusiliers, batfish, trevallies and other reef fish bustling about on their reefscape home.
On your final day here, soak in your last Palawan sunset on a private cruise, coasting back under an inky night sky, alight with stars. Enjoying a cocktail and canapes while a guitar serenades you.
Day 8: Travelling to Dumaguete
This morning you will travel from Amanpulo's private airstrip back to Manila and then on to Dumaguete. Once you arrive at Dumaguete, a representative from your hotel Iwill be waiting to transfer you over land to the resort. Depending on which accommodation you choose, the journey will take approximately 40 minutes, so sit back, relax and get ready for the next stage of your honeymoon dive adventure.
Day 9: Signature Couples Spa Experience
Begin your first day in Dumaguete with a lavish 90-minute couples massage. The hotel spa has a range of treatments to choose from that will have the tension slipping away as they restore balance and harmony to your bodies. Relax afterwards with a herbal tea and a book to escape the mid-day sun together.
Days 10-14: Dive, Dive and Dive Some More
Muck divers around the globe seek out Dumaguete for the intricately odd creatures that can be found on the seabed just steps from your suite. Your dives will be guided by eagle-eyed divemasters who know the hiding spots of all types of macro life, from frog fish to flamboyant cuttlefish to ornate ghost pipefish. Make sure your camera is charged and ready for an undersea scavenger hunt like nowhere else in the world.
Just 30 minutes away, you can take a day trip to Apo Island for contrasting dives full of sloping reefs engulfed in life. Find schools of jacks, turtles galore and thriving corals hiding all manner of reef fish, before surfacing for a picnic lunch, then hop back in to experience it all over again.
In the following days you can also explore the reef at night on the Mandarin fish night dive, where you'll get to see these stunning creatures dancing above the reef in their signature mating dance ritual.
Days 15-16: Say Goodbye
Sadly, the time has come to bid farewell to the Philippines and begin your journey home.
This morning, you will be transferred to Dumaguete airport in time to catch your flight back to Manila. The drive and flight should take approximately two hours, allowing you to land in Manila in perfect time to catch your evening flight home via Bangkok.
Try to get some sleep along the way, before arriving home the next morning.
