Do you still have some annual leave left? You're not alone. Nearly two-thirds of UK workers don't use their full annual holiday allowance, and we're here to change that. After all, time off is not a perk; it's what makes the work/life balance just that: balanced. Our short diving breaks are designed to transform unused days into underwater adventures - maximum experience, minimum time.

The truth is, once the clock strikes midnight on the 31st December (or the 31st March in some companies), unused days are gone for good. And we know from experience that nobody ever looks back and says, 'I wish I'd spent more time at my desk.' So, here's our rallying cry: don't let the HR department win. Take the dive trip, make underwater memories; use it, or lose it.

Coral in Egypt

Two days remaining – Hurghada, Egypt

Two days of annual leave are all you need for a long weekend in Egypt's heavenly Hurghada. When you're not diving over colourful corals, spotting lazing turtles (and the occasional shark) or enjoying a sundown cocktail, spend your time wandering around souqs and bartering for the best bargains.

What's more, November and December mark Hurghada's quieter season, so you can expect fewer crowds to contend with. And, while the water can be a little cooler than in summer, it's nothing that a thick, full-length wetsuit can't compete with.

Cabbage coral

Three days remaining – Muscat, Oman

Turn three days of leave into a dreamy dive adventure in Oman. Head to Muscat and use the port capital as a base to visit the uninhabited Daymaniyat Islands, a UNESCO-protected site home to pristine coral gardens and walls, leopard sharks and a dizzying array of fish species. Fancy a spot of bird watching? Beady-eyed visitors can catch sight of elegant ospreys and sea eagles soaring above the water.

Four days remaining – Grenada

Grenada isn't only known as the 'Isle of Spice' (thanks to its nutmeg production) - with over 15 to explore, it's also considered the shipwreck capital of the Caribbean. With four days of leave, you'll be able to pack in plenty of dives through coral-encrusted corridors at Bianca C, a 594ft-long sunken ship. Keep your eyes peeled for barracuda, groupers and schools of jacks.

Beach in the Maldives

Five days remaining – Maldives

End (or start) your year with an idyllic island escape in the Maldives, a barefoot paradise that's just as dreamy above water as it is below. Nutrient-rich currents are to thank for the archipelago's plentiful soft corals, manta rays and nudibranchs, while seasonal calm seas and clear skies provide tip-top conditions to see it all in. Well worth trading five days of leave for, if you ask us.
